Imagine living in a house without decorations, colors, or even a comfortable place to sit. Boring, right? This is similar to how your bird feels while in an unaccessorized cage. Therefore, after choosing the right cage, the next step is to accessorize it. But how do you get top quality birdcages and accessories from the multiple types available in the market? Let's find out.
Bird Cage- When buying your birdcage, you should consider the size, bar spacing, and material. Tiny birds will require a small-sized cage, unlike large birds, which will need a bigger cage to move freely and enjoy living in the cage. The bar spacing shouldn't be too large as your bird will be more likely to escape or get caught in between them, and they also shouldn't be too close since this won't provide a favorable environment for your bird. Also, make sure that your bird's cage material is durable and safe.
So what about the bird accessories? Consider the physical stability, the dangers, and the chemicals present in the materials you purchase.
Physical stability- You can't be so sure that your bird branch is safe for your bird by looking at it. It's essential to double-check any tree stands and branches to guarantee your bird's safety.
Inhaling and swallowing dangers- You can decorate your birdcage using pebbles, flowers, lights, ribbons, and statuettes too. However, make sure to first understand what kind of scent your bird dislikes when decorating using flowers. You should also make sure that your bird's toy does not have small particles that it can easily swallow. These toys are usually made from plastic materials that aren't edible.
Harmful chemicals- It's easy to find a variety of sprays and vitamins for birds to pick from. However, some of these items do more harm than good. Study shows that some pet birds pass away from the intake of unsafe essential oils, vitamins, and poisonous sprays. Therefore, it's important to consult your vet prior to purchasing any of those products.

Best place to go for reptiles and info about them! Staff is awesome!!! Great prices!
Someone told me that Buckles offers a hoist for nail trims. My dog gets VERY stressed and reactive to nail trims and medications that my vet trialed with her had mediocre results at best. Buckles got her up in the hoist and it went SO WELL. She was a little nervous, of course, but behaved very well and the Buckles employee was very thorough and careful with her dark nails. Additionally, nail trims at Buckles are super-cheap... $5 without the hoist or $10 with the hoist. They also offer a great selection of treats and toys. Shopping local is very little extra effort when there are excellent places like this!
Buckles is always top notch. They've got just about everything you could want for any pet, and the staff is super knowledgeable and super friendly. You can get everything from lizard lights to horse food.
Big variety of food and toys, knowledgeable clerks, but awkward parking.
A very good business, I am so glad they are there when we need them
